How to Connect Google Analytics With Simple SEO
Connect your Google Analytics account with Simple SEO to easily view the metrics of your Google Analytics from the Results tab of your Simple SEO dashboard. Make sure to complete the requirements and follow the steps below.
You need to set up your Google Analytics account. If you haven’t yet, follow the steps on this guide to set it up or let our SEO experts handle it.
Set Up Your Google Analytics Account
- Access Google Analytics.
- Log in with your Google account. If you have a Gmail email address, that is your Google account, or you can create a new one solely for your business.
- On the Google Analytics Welcome page, click Start measuring.
- Enter the required details from Account Creation to Data Collection. Click Next at the bottom of each page when you’re done to proceed to the next step and click Back to go back to the previous tab.
- Account creation – Enter a name for this Google Analytics account. This can be the name of your company or your corporation. Under Account Data Sharing Settings, check the boxes that correspond to the permissions you give to Google.
- Property creation – Enter the website name or the app to measure. A Google Analytics account, which you named under Account Creation, can have multiple Properties. Provide a name that distinguishes this Property from your other websites or apps. Set up the time zone and currency that you prefer to show in the data.
- Business details – Choose the industry category that your business belongs to and its business size. This is crucial for gaining insights about competitors and trends.
- Business objectives – Check the reason/s for using Google Analytics. Then, click Create to proceed.
- In the Google Analytics Terms of Service Agreement pop-up window, choose the country of business operation from the drop-down and read the terms of service. Then, check to accept the Data Processing Terms as required by GDPR (optional) and click the I Accept button (required).
Note:
The page doesn’t create your Google Analytics account if you click the I Do Not Accept button in Google Analytics Terms of Service window. - Choose the platform of the property to measure or set this up later by clicking Skip for now.
- Click Continue to Home to start using your Google Analytics account.
Copy the Service Account Email from the Online Marketing Hub
- Log in to Online Marketing Hub.
- Locate the domain name of the website you are working on and click OPEN on the Business Profile Progress.
- Scroll down to Google Analytics section and click I have a Google Analytics account.
- Click the Copy icon to copy the Online Marketing Hub service account email.
Add the Service Account Email as a Viewer to the Google Analytics Property
Follow the steps below to add the Simple SEO service account email to your Google Analytics property.
- At the top of your Google Analytics home page, make sure you are looking at the correct property. If not, click the drop-down and choose the correct one.
- Click the Admin button with a gear icon on the menu bar at the left side of the page.
- Click Property access management under PROPERTY SETTINGS.
- In the pop-up window, click the plus sign [+] button and choose Add users.
- Paste the email address you copied from the Online Marketing Hub Business Profile page and select Viewer under Direct roles and data restrictions. Then, click Add.
The service email account should show under the list of Users together with your Google email account.
Verify the Connection of Your SEO Tool With Google Analytics
- At the top of your Google Analytics home page, make sure you are looking at the correct property. If not, click the drop-down and choose the correct one.
- Click the Admin button with a gear icon on the menu bar at the left side of the page.
- Under PROPERTY SETTINGS, click Property details.
- Copy property ID using the copy icon on the right side of the page.
- Paste the Property ID in the Google Analytics Tracking Code field of your Business Profile of the Online Marketing Hub.
- Click VERIFY CONNECTION.
A message will show at the top of the page if the connection is successful. Make sure to SAVE CHANGES on your Business Profile page.
An error message like in the screenshot below will show if Google Analytics is not correctly set up. Make sure Steps 4, 5, and 6 are done accurately.
If you are still getting the error message after reviewing the information several times, click on I need a Google Analytics account. Then, click on UPGRADE NOW to upgrade to a Managed SEO package.

How to Connect Google Search Console with Simple SEO
Connect your Google Search Console with Simple SEO to easily view the metrics of your Google Analytics from the Results tab of your Simple SEO dashboard. Make sure to complete the requirements and follow the steps below.
Requirements:
You need to set up your Google Search Console account. If you haven’t yet, follow the steps on this guide to set it up or let our SEO experts handle it.Set Up Your Google Search Console Account
- Access Google Search Console.
- Log in with your Google account. If you have a Gmail email address, that is your Google account, or you can create a new one solely for your business.
- Enter your website URL on the blank provided under URL prefix.
- Click CONTINUE.
Ownership should be verified automatically if you are using the same Google account on your Google Analytics and Google Search Console. That is, if you have already verified the domain ownership when you set up Google Analytics. The verification status is indicated by the message box as shown in the screenshot below.
- Click GO TO THE PROPERTY to add the service account email.
TIP
If Google Search Console still requires you to verify domain ownership as shown in the screenshot below, do any of the verification methods that are accessible to you. You can also ask your web developer for assistance.
Copy the Service Account Email from the Online Marketing Hub
- Log in to Online Marketing Hub.
- Locate the domain name of the website you are working on and click OPEN on the Business Profile Progress.
- Scroll down to Google Search Console section and click I have a Google Search Console Account.
- Copy the service email address.
Add the Service Account Email to Your Google Search Console
Follow the steps below to add the Simple SEO service account email to your Google Search Console property.
- Log in to Google Search Console with your Google account.
- Click Settings on the menu bar on the left side of the page.
- Click Users and permissions and then ADD THE USER.
- Paste the email address you have copied from the Online Marketing Hub Business Profile page and select Restricted as the Authorization. Then, click ADD.
The service email account should show under the list of Users together with your Google email account.
Verify the Connection of Your SEO Tool With Google Search Console
- Log in to Online Marketing Hub.
- Locate the domain name of the website you are working on and click OPEN on the Business Profile Progress.
- Scroll down to Google Search Console section and click VERIFY CONNECTION.
A message will show at the top of the page if the connection is successful. Make sure to SAVE CHANGES on your Business Profile page.
An error message like in the screenshot below will show if Google Search Console is not correctly set up. Make sure the Online Marketing Hub service account email is added to your Google Search Console with the correct permission.

How to View Website’s Performance on Simple SEO Results Tab
Follow the steps below to view your Google Analytics and Google Search Console data under the Simple SEO Results tab. The data is only available if Google Analytics and Google Search Console are connected to your Business Profile page in Online Marketing Hub as demonstrated above.
- Log in to Online Marketing Hub.
- Locate the Simple SEO product that you want to view. Then, click OPEN.
- Under the RESULTS tab, click GOOGLE ANALYTICS to view the Google Analytics results.
- Click GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE to view your Google Search Console RESULTS.
