How to Edit Blog Post Settings

Configure your Blog Post Settings like post preview, format, banner, and more within your site editor. This section is where you can uniformly customise the appearance of the posts on your blog page.

This customisation can be done after you’ve successfully added a Blog Post to your website.

Note: The Blog option is only available for paid Sitebeat plans and is not accessible on Sitebeat Free. To maximise all the features of your Sitebeat website, including the Blog feature, we highly encourage you to upgrade your Sitebeat Free plan.

Manage your Blog Page Settings using the steps below:

  1. Log In to access the Sitebeat dashboard.
  2. Under My Sites, click the Edit Site option on the website that you wish to manage.
  3. Note: If you want to edit a new site, you have to unpublish the current website and make your new site as your primary website.

Under My Sites, click the [...] Ellipsis Icon on the top-right corner of the website to unpublish the current site. Click Unpublish Site, and then click Yes, Unpublish to confirm.

Under My Domains, click the [...] Ellipsis Icon of the website that you want to replace as your primary website, then click Replace Primary. In the pop-up window, select the domain of the new website in the New Primary Domain list, then click Replace Primary. You can also click the Domains tab under My Sites to perform the necessary steps mentioned.

You can now edit the new site that you wish to manage.

  4. Click Pages from the left-side menu, hover your mouse pointer over Post, and then click the Gear Icon on its right.

Note: Make sure you have enabled Blog first before proceeding to these steps.

  5. Set the following under Post Settings:
Post Preview Click on the corresponding drop-down menu to select and switch between posts you want to customise.
Format Format is set to Standard by default.

When Hero option is selected, Banner Height setting appears. Click on the corresponding drop-down menu to select your preferred banner height.
Post Width Click on the corresponding drop-down menu to select your preferred post width.
Meta Switch on this button if you want to display the post's cover date and author's name.

Once enabled, a corresponding drop-down menu will appear where you can further select your preferred Meta Style.
Alignment The post alignment is set to the Left by default. Click on the corresponding drop-down menu to select your preferred alignment.
Post Navigation Switch on this button if you want to add a post navigation button under the posts.
Social Sharing Switch on this button if you want to add social sharing buttons under the posts.

Settings preview is automatically shown on the site editor while you customise. Don't forget to click the Publish button to save changes.

You've just successfully set your blog post settings.
