How to Use and Manage Your Sitebeat Domain

What is a Sitebeat Domain?

Sitebeat Domain is the Domain Name you connected to Sitebeat upon purchase.

Your Sitebeat registration is packaged with a Domain Name of your choice. Whether you connected an existing Domain Name to Sitebeat upon purchase or chose to register a new Domain Name along with Sitebeat, the system automatically recognises this as the web address that you can use for publishing your Sitebeat website.

Using the Sitebeat Domain

Using the Sitebeat Domain means you are ready to publish your website live so when visitors enter your Sitebeat Domain in their browser, e.g. mydomain.com, they’ll be able to view your website from their device.

When publishing a site, your account will automatically publish the site using your main domain, regardless of which project card you try to publish.

Note: If you have multiple registered domains under your account and you try to access them, they will just redirect to your main domain. If you want to change your main domain and use your other registered domains to publish your website, please contact Sitebeat Support so we can assist you. This action can only be done on our end because attached services like SSL cannot be transferred from one domain to another.

Follow the steps below to publish your site from your Sitebeat Dashboard:

  1. Log In to access the Sitebeat dashboard.
  2. Under My Sites, click the [...] Ellipsis Icon on the project card to be published.
  3. Click Publish. A Live button will be displayed on the upper-left corner of the project card once the site is Published.

Below are two other ways you can Publish a site:

  • Click the Edit Site option on the project card. On the Sitebeat Editor, click the Publish button at the top-right corner of the page.
  • Click Preview beside the Publish button to preview your page first, then click the Publish button at the bottom-right corner of the page.

To Unpublish, click the [...] Ellipsis Icon at the top-right corner of the project card with the Live button on it, then click Unpublish and click Yes, Unpublish to confirm.

Note: While Sitebeat allows you to work on a maximum of three projects at the same time, you can only Publish one website Live.

Managing the Sitebeat Domain

All your registered domains are found under the My Domains section of your Sitebeat Dashboard. Each Domain Card displays the following details: Domain Name, Expiry Date, and Domain Lock setting. A specific letter P Badge is also shown on the domain that is Published Live.
