How to Set up Shipping Options

Sitebeat lets you set up Shipping Options to ensure that your customers know how they're getting what they paid for. There are a variety of Shipping Options in Sitebeat that you can easily customise and manage for your Store.

Note: The Store option is only available for the Sitebeat eCommerce plan and will not appear on all other Sitebeat plans. Suppose you want to set up an Online Store with complete SSL protection as well as easy setup and monitoring of products and orders. In that case, you will need to upgrade your current Sitebeat plan or purchase a new Sitebeat eCommerce plan.

Set up your Sitebeat store’s shipping options using the steps below:

  1. Log In to access the Sitebeat dashboard.
  2. Under My Sites, click the Edit Site option of the website that you wish to manage.
  3. Note: If you want to edit a new site, you have to unpublish the current website and make your new site as your primary website.

    Under My Sites, click the [...] Ellipsis Icon on the top-right corner of the website to unpublish the current site. Click Unpublish Site, and then click Yes, Unpublish to confirm.

    Under My Domains, click the [...] Ellipsis Icon of the website that you want to replace as your primary website, then click Replace Primary. In the pop-up window, select the domain of the new website in the New Primary Domain list, then click Replace Primary. You can also click the Domains tab under My Sites to perform the necessary steps mentioned.

    You can now edit the new site that you wish to manage.

  4. Click Store from the left-side menu.
    If this is your first time accessing this option, click Get Started, then wait a few seconds for the Sitebeat Editor to add a Store page and Shopping Cart icon to your website.
  5. Click Settings from the Online Store left-side menu, and then click Shipping.
  6. Under Shipping Origin, click Add Address to specify where you are shipping the products from, and then click Save.
  7. Click the [←] Back Icon on the left-side menu to return, then click the Add link beside Shipping Options.
  8. Click Add Shipping button to set up a Local Delivery option, Select a Carrier, or Add a Carrier.

    Click Add Pickup button to set up pickup instructions on how and when customers can pick up their orders.

    For a more detailed instruction for each of these options, follow the corresponding steps below:

    Local Delivery

    If you prefer to deliver your products yourself, or you'd like to use a local delivery service for nearby areas, you can add this option to your Store with these steps:

    1. Click on the Add Shipping button.
    2. Click Set Up Local Delivery.
    3. Select whether you want to configure this shipping option with Free Delivery, Conditional Free Delivery, Flat Rate, or Custom Rates by clicking on their corresponding buttons.
    4. On the next page, edit the Shipping name at checkout to be displayed, click Add description for customers to specify the estimated time for the order to arrive and other important instructions or information regarding this method, and then click Set delivery zone to specify the destinations that you can ship to with this shipping method.

      For Conditional Free Delivery, Flat Rate, and Custom Rates, set the Delivery rates or custom cost calculation rules for each shipping method.
    5. Once done, click Save & Finish.

    Select a Carrier

    Choose a shipping carrier from our growing list of partners to quickly set them up on your Store with these steps:

    1. Click on the Add Shipping button.
    2. Click on the View all carriers link under the Other Carriers section and select your preferred courier from our list of options.
    3. Depending on the carrier selected, you may have to click on a Set Up button on its right to configure it with Free Shipping, Conditional Free Shipping, Flat Rate, or Custom Rates.
      In some cases, you will be routed to the Set Up rates page where an additional option will be available for the carrier's Automatic calculated rates, with which no further set up is required.

    Add a Carrier

    If you can't find the carrier you want from the list, you can easily set it up manually so the option can still be available for your customers using these steps:

    1. Click on the Add Shipping button.
    2. Under Other carriers, enter the Carrier name in the field provided, and then click Set Up.
    3. Select whether you want to configure this shipping option with Free Shipping, Conditional Free Shipping, Flat Rate, or Custom Rates by clicking on their corresponding buttons.
    4. On the next page, edit the Shipping name at checkout to be displayed, click Add description for customers to specify the estimated time for the order to arrive and other important instructions or information regarding this method, then click Set shipping region to specify the destinations that you can ship to with this shipping method.

      For Conditional Free Shipping, Flat Rate, and Custom Rates, set the Shipping Rates or custom cost calculation.
    5. Once done, click Save & Finish.

    In-Store Pickup

    Set up this option for customers who prefer to pick up orders themselves, using these steps:

    1. Click on the Add Pickup button.
    2. Edit the Order pickup label at checkout.
    3. Under Detailed instructions for customers, edit where and when customers can pickup their orders or add any relevant information that they may need.

      You may add a Pickup charge by indicating the amount in the field provided, or simply leave it blank if no additional payment will be required.

      Enable the Ask for pickup date and time at checkout option to set specific pickup schedules that your customers can choose from at checkout.

      If the abovementioned option is enabled, you can set your customer's expectations by specifying the Order fulfillment time or the time it takes for you to prepare the item/s for pickup.
    4. Click Add Pickup Option when done.

You’ve just set up shipping options for your Sitebeat store.
