How to Add Links to Your Features

Adding Links or Hyperlinks to your website content makes it quick and easy for your visitors to access additional information — and helps boost your brand’s content marketing and SEO.

Sitebeat allows you to do this through its customisable Features — like the Heading, Text, Button, and Photo — that can instantly direct your visitors to a specific page or section in your website. It also opens a different website, opens or downloads a file, or even links them to a specific Email address or Phone number.

Follow the steps below to learn how to add links to your features:

  1. Log In to access the Sitebeat dashboard.
  2. Under My Sites, click the Edit Site option of the website that you wish to manage.
  3. Note: If you want to edit a new site, you have to unpublish the current website and make your new site as your primary website.

Under My Sites, click the [...] Ellipsis Icon on the top-right corner of the website to unpublish the current site. Click Unpublish Site, and then click Yes, Unpublish to confirm.

Under My Domains, click the [...] Ellipsis Icon of the website that you want to replace as your primary website, then click Replace Primary. In the pop-up window, select the domain of the new website in the New Primary Domain list, then click Replace Primary. You can also click the Domains tab under My Sites to perform the necessary steps mentioned.

You can now edit the new site that you wish to manage.

  4. On your Site Editor, click Build from the left-side menu. You are now viewing the Features library.
  5. Drag your chosen linkable Feature and drop it onto one of the available placeholders on your page.
  6. Highlight or click on the Feature to display its editing menu.
  7. Click the Link Icon to display the pop-up box, and then specify the following under Link To:
Page Select Page if you wish to link the Feature to a page on your website, and then set the specific page from the second drop-down list.
Anchor Select Anchor if you wish to link the Feature to a specific section on a website page. Then, select a website page from the second drop-down list and the specific section to show once the Feature is clicked.
URL Select URL if you wish to link the Feature to an external website, and then enter the specific URL in the space provided.
File Select File if you wish to link the Feature to an image or document and let visitors view or download it, and then upload or select a specific file using any of the following methods:

    • Upload to Sitebeat
If the file is in your computer, drag and drop it into the pop-up window or click Browse to manually look for the file from your list of folders, and then upload it to Sitebeat.
    • Access Sitebeat My Documents
If the file was previously uploaded in Sitebeat, click the My Documents tab from the pop-up window, and then select the file.
    • Access the Cloud
If the file is in another online account, click the Clouds tab from the pop-up window, connect to your online account, and then navigate and select the file.

Note: You can upload any image or document in your Sitebeat website with the following file formats:
