How to Manage Your Website Pages

Manage your website Pages to organise your content and help your visitors engage with your website.

Adding a Blank, Duplicate, or Template Page

With Sitebeat, you can choose to add a Blank Page to start working with a space, a Duplicate Page to save time and use the same layout as an existing page, or a Template Page to use a predesigned page that’ll help jumpstart your creativity.

Add any of these to your website Menu in Sitebeat, using the instructions below:

  1. Log In to access the Sitebeat dashboard.
  2. Under My Sites, click the Edit Site option of the website that you wish to manage.
  3. Note: If you want to edit a new site, you have to unpublish the current website and make your new site as your primary website.

Under My Sites, click the [...] Ellipsis Icon on the top-right corner of the website to unpublish the current site. Click Unpublish Site, and then click Yes, Unpublish to confirm.

Under My Domains, click the [...] Ellipsis Icon of the website that you want to replace as your primary website, then click Replace Primary. In the pop-up window, select the domain of the new website in the New Primary Domain list, then click Replace Primary. You can also click the Domains tab under My Sites to perform the necessary steps mentioned.

You can now edit the new site that you wish to manage.

  4. On your Site Editor, click Pages from the left-side menu, and then click Add.
  5. Click on the Page Icon and select from the three available options:
Blank Click this if you want to add a blank page to your site.
Duplicate Click this if you want to add a duplicate of an existing page, and then select which page you wish to duplicate.
Template Click this if you want to add a page from any of the Sitebeat Templates, select your chosen template, and then click on the specific Template Page that you want to add to your site.

The added page will appear under the Pages Panel on the left-side menu, which you can preview on your site.

Note: To Reorder the pages, click on a Page Name on the left-side panel, and then drag it up or down and release when done.

Adding a Folder Page

A Folder Page is a dummy page with no content that can be added to your website Menu as a Parent Page to help hold Child Pages belonging to a certain category or section.

To do this, click Add from the Pages Panel on the left-side menu, and then click the Folder Icon. A Folder Settings section will appear. Enter a name for your Folder Page.

Note: Click the Make Hidden button to hide your Folder Page and all its Child Pages. Hidden pages will still be published but will not appear on your website's menu. Click the Unhide button to undo action.

Click the [←] Back Icon to go back to the Pages Panel, and then click it again to exit.

Note: Drag and drop a page under your Folder Page (or any other page), right below its corresponding folder icon to add it as a Child Page.

Adding a Link Page

A Link Page can be added to your website Menu, which instantly opens to an external site when clicked.

To do this, simply click Add from the Pages Panel on the left-side menu, and then click the Link Icon. A Link Settings section will appear. Enter a name for your Link Page and the external site Link in the respective fields provided, and then enable Open In New Tab if preferred.

Note: Click the Make Hidden button to hide your Link Page. Hidden pages will still be published but will not appear on your website's menu. Click the Unhide button to undo action.

Click the [←] Back Icon to go back to the Pages Panel, and then click it again to exit.

Customising the Page Settings

Hover your mouse pointer over the Page Name on the left-side panel, and then click the Gear Icon that appears. The following fields will be available for you to customise:

Name Rename this to the name of the page that you want to create.
URL This is automatically generated by the system based on your Page Name. You can edit this if you want a different URL to show.
Title Add a Meta Title for your page.
Description Add a Meta Desciption for your page.
Set As Homepage Click this button if you wish to assign it as your new homepage.
Hide Page Click this button to hide the page from your website Menu. Hidden pages will still be published but will not appear on your website's menu. Hence, anyone who has the link of your hidden page can still access it. Click the Unhide button to undo action.
Delete Click this if you wish to remove the page from your website — rendering it inaccessible even to those who have the link.

Note: This option will not be available for the system-generated Store Page, associated with the store for Sitebeat eCommerce. To remove this, you will need to delete your store: click Settings from the left-side menu, click Advanced, and then click Delete Store.
