How to Change Page Name

Sitebeat Templates have default Page Names, except for the Blank Template. You can always change them to what suits your website.

Page Names appear on your website menu. This helps users easily navigate through your website.

Customise the Page Names of your Sitebeat website using the steps below:

  1. Log In to access the Sitebeat dashboard.
  2. Under My Sites, click the Edit Site option of the website that you wish to manage.
  3. Note: If you want to edit a new site, you have to unpublish the current website and make your new site as your primary website.

Under My Sites, click the [...] Ellipsis Icon on the top-right corner of the website to unpublish the current site. Click Unpublish Site, and then click Yes, Unpublish to confirm.

Under My Domains, click the [...] Ellipsis Icon of the website that you want to replace as your primary website, then click Replace Primary. In the pop-up window, select the domain of the new website in the New Primary Domain list, then click Replace Primary. You can also click the Domains tab under My Sites to perform the necessary steps mentioned.

You can now edit the new site that you wish to manage.

  4. On your Site Editor, click Pages from the left-side menu.
  5. Hover your mouse pointer over the Page Name that you want to change on the left-side panel, and then click the Gear Icon that appears.
  6. Under Page Settings, change the Page Name on the Name field.
You will immediately see the changes on the template.

If your website menu disappeared after changing one of the Page Names, it automatically just switched into a Hamburger Menu. If you want to switch back to your regular menu, you can do any of the following:

  • Shorten one of the Page Names.
  • Adjust menu font size and padding. To do this, refer to our Menu Block guide.
  • Drag one of your pages under another to make it its Child Page (subpage).

Note: A Hide Page button is also available if you want to add a page, but do not want it to appear on your Menu Block. This is useful for pages that you want to link to Buttons or to your website Footer copy.
